SERIOUS CENTURY NAPA 100 MILE

NOTE: 100 Mile Route changed back to last year's route.

Because of extensive rain damage to Mt. Veeder Road last winter, we thought we would be unable to use Mt. Veeder Road for this year’s Tour of Napa Valley. Thanks to motivation provided by Napa County Supervisor Ryan Gregory and the local California Highway Patrol office, the Napa County Public Works Department has made heroic efforts to repair the road. Accordingly, this year’s 100 mile route will be the same route as last year and not the revised route that had been previously posted. We believe this route is more desirable and safer than the revised route. Please note that while many necessary repairs have been made to Mt. Veeder Road and it is probably in as good or better shape than previous years, it has not been entirely re-paved and there are still some rough sections. We ask that you ride carefully and stay within your abilities.  https://ridewithgps.com/routes/4090145

READY TO CLIMB 65 MILE
Wineries and vineyards give way to farmscapes as you pass Lake Hennessey and roll through Pope Valley (where you join the 100 mile route) before a tough climb up Ink Grade. Descend Howell Mountain for seven miles to St. Helena, Silverado Trail, and Yountville. 3550' of climbing.

INTO THE HILLS 40 MILE
Venture from the vines of the Valley floor to the shores of Lake Hennessey, rise through Sage Canyon, and return via picture-perfect Chiles Canyon. Plenty of wineries, too. 1750' of climbing.

FLAT 35 MILE

well-known wineries line your path with few hills to
disrupt your pleasure. 1175' of climbing.

The above links take you to RideWithGPS. The maps are great, but be careful of the cue sheets it prints out, we've seen mistakes, be sure to follow our cue sheet given to you at check in. Also if you hover the cursor over an aid station icon it will tell you what kind of stop it is - i.e. full-fledged rest stop or mere water stop.

The crummy news: Our insurance company is requiring all riders to sign, in person, a paper copy of the waiver you acknowledged online & show picture ID at check-in. This means that you will not be able to check in for someone else, even if it's your special, super-duper, sweetie that you've been with forever! Sorry, we wish it were different.
